This interview is part of the Sinhala and Tamil Diaspora interview series that is being started by the Harmony page of Weekend FT. The purpose of this series is to look at different skills that the Lankan diaspora abroad holds and how these can be used for the betterment of Sri Lanka. This series of interviews also expects to give space to different experiences and view-points of Sri Lankans who left their country for whatever reason in the past few decades. It is expected that these narratives will contribute to helping the linking of Sri Lankans abroad for meaningful discourse and action that will help create citizen-based solutions for the nation when it is needed most.
